FLOWER RELIEFS. Mixed Technique on wood. Different sizes.

Small and almost abstract reliefs meant to evoke vegetable forms such as flowers and leaves. In fact, most of them have been made as a collage using branches as well as stones and wood chips. These elements have been fixed (after staining them with acrylic paint) on boards or thick pieces of chipboard also previously stained. The whole has finally been retouched to enhance the overall effect.
The low complexity in the use of color and composition seeks a feeling of lightness.
For larger works stones or branches have not been used. The relief was obtained by superimposing wooden boards cuts in layers to achieve different thicknesses. Then the ‘sculpture’ resulting has been painted with oil, almost as if it were a standard painting.
